Wenchao joined the ABI Lab as a PhD candidate in 2024 (supervised by Prof. Hongliang Ren and Prof. Scott Yuan). His research interest includes Soft Robotics, Foldable/Pop-Up/Origami-inspired Machines, Medical Origami Robots, Flexible Electronics, Embodied Physical Intelligence, and Multimodal Perception. He currently works on the development of soft pop-up machines for active multimodal biopsy.
