Short Biography

Prof. Qin obtained a BEd and MEd from the Beijing University of Physical Education with major in Functional Anatomy, and PhD in Sports Science s in 1992 from the German Sports University Cologne, majored in Experimental Morphology. He then worked as postdoctoral fellow in the AO/ASIF Research Institute in Switzerland and was employed research scientist by the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Medical School of Rudolf Virchow at the Free University of Berlin, Germany. He joined the Dept. of Orthopaedics & Traumatology of the CUHK in September 1994.

Research Interest

  1. Technical expertise: Musculoskeletal imaging, b one mineral density and structure evaluation, histomorphometry, tissue biomechanics
  2. Research area: enhancement of b one-tendon junction repair, prevention & treatment of osteoporosis & osteonecrosis
